The National Testing Agency recently announced the discontinuation of optional questions in Section B of the JEE Main exam. The optional section was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2025 exams expected to be held in January and April 2025 will no longer have the flexibility to choose 5 out of 10 questions in Section B.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will discontinue the optional selection of questions in the Section B of JEE Main exam from the upcoming entrance exam. The optional section was introduced in the paper during the Covid period and is being dicontinued now after the UN World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the Covid-19 as an end of public health emergency.
