File Explorer is one of the most essential tools in Windows 11, but you may not know everything about it. Let's take a closer look.

To enable file extensions, launch File Explorer and click the View tab on the top. Hover your mouse pointer over Show and select the File name extensions option.

Once it’s sorted, go to the File Explorer menu at the top and select View > Options > Change folder and search options. Under the View tab click Apply to Folders.
