The Dallas Mavericks entered Sunday night with a 5-4 record after dropping their last game to the Phoenix Suns. To avoid falling to .500, they would face the Denver Nuggets on the road, with Luka Doncic entering the game questionable.

Michael Porter Jr. scored the game-winning floater with 6.5 seconds left to help the Nuggets escape with the victory. The Mavericks had two more chances on the final possession of the game, but Kyrie Irving missed a 3-pointer and Daniel Gafford was unable to convert on a tip-in that would’ve sent the game to overtime.

Kyrie Irving scored 23 points and Klay Thompson added 18 to lift the Dallas Mavericks over the Utah Jazz 110-102.
