Playing a role I’ve not played, since…" reads a tweet from Hayter that was followed up by a gif of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3.

David Hayter was famed among gamers as the voice of Snake in the Metal Gear Solid games, until notorious star chaser Hideo Kojima unceremoniously replaced him with Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid 5.

David Hayter has teased his return to the Metal Gear Solid franchise, revealing that he was in a recording booth on October 3. The actor is well-known for portraying Snake in the franchise but was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid V.
