OTTAWA — Linus Ullmark played his best game of the season on Monday, making 48 saves against the Detroit Red Wings. It was the most saves he had made in a game all year long. And that early week feat will be eclipsed by an all-world save.

For the Bruins, this is an absolutely gigantic loss and really puts them in a tough position to make the playoffs.

The home crowd saw a 6–3 Senators win and one of the best saves of the NHL season. Linus Ullmark was in goal for the Senators, making his 33rd start of the season. Up 5–3 late in the second period Ullmark found himself on the wrong side of the goal as Boston's Mason Lohrei took a shot at what must have looked like an empty net.

The Bruins are heading toward a rebuild for the first time in a decade after the NHL trade deadline, but there are some reasons for optimism.
