BISMARCK — Legislators considered a bill on Monday that would give North Dakota renters more protections during their move-out process, a proposition strongly opposed by property managers.

The motion for a bill to be introduced was made by a Bismarck native who had garnered support through a Facebook group called ‘Legislative Action For Renters North Dakota.’ She claims that a large rental company charged her $5,000 in fraudulent charges when she moved out.
