The Florida Python Challenge is offering $25,000 in cash prizes for 2025 to participating hunters who capture and kill the most Burmese pythons in 10 days.

A python was recently added to that list. Des Moines police notified residents of a potential sighting of a python in the Waterbury neighborhood Aug. 1.
