To qualify for the bonus shares, investors must purchase Reliance Industries shares at least one day before the record date.

On the last trading day, Reliance Industries opened at ₹2764.35 and closed at ₹2755.45. The stock reached a high of ₹2772 and a low of ₹2741 during the day.

The issue of bonus shares was approved by majority of the shareholders of Reliance Industries through an e-voting process on Wednesday, October 16.

On Wednesday, the company received approval for the bonus issue from shareholders, with an overwhelming 99.92 percent of votes cast in favor of the resolution and only 0.07 percent against it.
