Police in Arkansas shot and killed Scotty Helton after he allegedly shot at them after initiating a chase with Faulkner County deputies and Conway police.

A man was killed by Arkansas State Police and a Mayflower police officer after fleeing a traffic stop and shooting at officers early Sunday morning.

Police have issued an update in the case of Jonathan "Scotty" Roach, who went missing after leaving his Arlington, Tennessee, home for a walk on June 8.

Grant Hardin, former police chief of the small town of Gateway, Arkansas, who was convicted of murder, has been recaptured after his escape from prison on May 25.

Grant Hardin, who came to be known as the “Devil in the Ozarks,” was captured on Friday, nearly two weeks after his May 25 escape from a high-security prison.
