Despite a 48 point effort from Steph Curry, the Warriors came up short in a 136-131 loss to the Trail Blazers on Sunday evening.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, not even Curry’s outstanding performance was enough to carry them to victory against an Anthony Edwards-less Minnesota Timberwolves side. Golden State suffered its first loss in three games after the Wolves pulled off an upset at Chase Center, 127-120.
Curry scored 48 and made 12 3-pointers, surpassing Michael Jordan for the most 40-point games after turning 30 (45). However, he was not perfect in the Warriors’ 136-131 loss, missing a driving layup with 27 seconds remaining and down by one point.
The biggest flaw in Durant’s belief that players shooting too much is the issue is that he fails to mention the dunks. Curry and Lillard being three-point specialists that shoot at the highest level provides logic for why they took those shots. Both men have reputations for hitting shots from nearly half-court during regular season games.
Seth backed up the enthusiasm with a standout performance in Tuesday’s 124–112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. With Stephen Curry sidelined due to a quadriceps issue, Seth seized the opportunity, scoring 14 points on a near-perfect 6-for-7 shooting night, including two made threes.
