U.S. President Donald Trump said Ukraine would need Patriot missiles for its defenses, after speaking with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Friday, and voiced frustration over Russian President Vladimir Putin's failure to end the fighting.

Trump said Friday he was "very unhappy" about his telephone call with Putin on the Ukraine war, saying the Russian leader just wants to "keep killing people."

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want to end the war in Ukraine, Donald Trump has said as he raised the prospect of more sanctions on Russia. The U.S. president told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was "very unhappy" with his earlier phone call with the Russian leader as Moscow said it would continue to pursue its war aims.
