United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAL) has recovered early losses and is clinging to a modest gain on Thursday, as the company’s underwhelming second quarter results were offset by assurances from the CEO regarding the second half of this year and disruptions at a major hub.

United Airlines executives said on Thursday the company has seen strong bookings in the past three weeks, with the carrier gaining pricing power for the first time since February.

United Airlines Holdings Inc. narrowed its profit range for this year, saying the outlook has become more predictable than in the first six months, a period punctuated by flight disruptions, trade tensions and fighting in the Middle East.
