A student wearing a weighted athletic training vest caused a full evacuation at Nathan Hale High School after allegedly making a threatening statement initially interpreted as a possible explosive threat.

Nathan Hale High School in West Allis was evacuated due to a threat toward student safety, the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District said.

Nathan Hale High School students and staff were evacuated on Wednesday morning due to an "alleged threat," the school district said.
