A First Alert Weather Day is in effect through midday due to a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. for North Texas.

On Wednesday at 6:42 a.m. a freezing fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 8 a.m. for Jackson County.

Dallas-Fort Worth was under a dense fog advisory Wednesday morning. A warm front was expected to bring spring-like temperatures to the area again by Thursday.

Following a foggy Wednesday morning, visibility continued to improve as a warm front lifted north. Visibility was down to a quarter mile at times during the Wednesday morning commute while temperatures hovered in the 40s ahead of the warm front.
