Chicago Sky's Angel Reese had a message for fans after a momentous day on which she completed three major achivements.

The Chicago Sky will honor former star Allie Quigley on Wednesday by retiring her number. Quigley's No. 14 will be the first jersey to be retired by the Sky organization. In a statement, Quigley said it was a dream to play for the WNBA and "to be able to play in Chicago for my hometown team? It doesn't get any better."

CHICAGO (WIFR) - The Chicago Sky retired its first jersey number Wednesday night and it was for 14-year WNBA veteran Allie Quigley. The Illinois native played ten seasons with the Sky and led the team to its first WNBA championship in 2021. She officially retired from the WNBA in June despite not playing in the league since 2022.

They Sky have failed to attract big-name free agents, lost well-respected employees and don't have the facilities to compete with their WNBA counterparts.

For the first time since June 24, the Chicago Sky welcomed back their second-year star Kamilla Cardoso to the court on Wednesday night against the Dallas Wings. Cardoso had been on a temporary leave to compete in the 2025 AmeriCup with the Brazilian National Team,
