Sixth-seeded Texas softball needed some late heroics from Teagan Kavan and her teammates to force a game 3 in NCAA's Austin Super Regionals vs Clemson

Junior shortstop Leighann Goode hit a rocket over the left field wall to score two runs and give Texas an early lead. After several mental mistakes and an error at shortstop in game one, Goode was inserted into the role Friday and provided a major spark for Texas, both offensively and defensively.

AUSTIN — Leighann Good had three hits and two runs batted in, Teagan Kavan threw five-plus shutout innings in relief and Texas forced a deciding third game in the Austin Super Regional with a 7-5 win in 10 innings on Friday night.
