Borussia Dortmund have sacked technical director Sven Mislintat after just 10 months in the role. The 52-year-old’s departure comes two weeks after the club parted ways with head coach Nuri Sahin following a run of just one win in nine matches, with Dortmund subsequently appointing Niko Kova c in the hotseat.

Borussia Dortmund has fired technical director Sven Mislintat after nine months as the club seeks to turn around a season which has seen last season’s Champions League runner-up fall to 11th in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund announced the dismissal of technical director Sven Mislintat on Thursday but as reported by Sky Germany, they are yet to reach an agreement regarding severance pay. The 52-year-old squad planner had a contract at Signal Iduna Park until 2028 and on a reported salary around €1m per year, Mislintat could be entitled to around €3m.
