Step into Homewood Brewing, which opened Friday in Homewood, and there are touches of Jarad Higgins all around. In the entry, floor tiles say “Be perfectly imperfect,” a snippet of lyrics from a song by Higgins, the rapper known as Juice Wrld.

A new brewery in a south suburb honors a late hometown rapper. Brian Wallace, the brother of Jarad Higgins who is also known as Juice WRLD, is now the head brewmaster at the Homewood Brewery on Dixie Highway in Homewood.

Carmela Wallace’s Homewood Brewing Co., created as a tribute to her son, the rapper known as Juice Wrld, opens Friday.
