Civil rights attorney Kiah Duggins was among the 64 passengers and crew on the American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas, to Washington, D.C., that plunged into the Potomac River Wednesday evening after colliding with a military helicopter.

WICHITA, Kan. ( KWCH /Gray News) - As families and communities continue to identify victims in Wednesday night’s plane crash near Washington, D.C., there’s now news that a well-known civil rights attorney and former Miss Kansas contestant is among the 67 people who were killed.

Kiah Duggins, 30, graduated from East High and Wichita State University before going on to earn her law degree from Harvard Law School.
