The Supreme Court is siding with a GOP state lawmaker in Maine who was blocked from voting after she identified a transgender student athlete in a critical social-media post.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted a request from Republican Maine state lawmaker Laurel Libby to restore her voting power for the next legislative session after she was censured earlier this year for expressing opposition to transgender athletes competing in girls sports in a controversial post on X.

Rep. Laurel Libby was censured and stripped of her right to vote after posting on social media photos of a transgender high school athlete.
