Fannie Mae has issued a fraud alert warning the mortgage industry about a growing pattern of fraudulent activity tied to two- to four-unit investment properties in New Jersey and surrounding states.

Laura Sue Mickler, 41, Yorktown, is charged in Delaware Circuit Court 4 with four counts each of fraud, forgery and counterfeiting. According to an affidavit, Mickler was employed at Ruoff Mortgage Co. from February 2017 until October 2022.
