Under an agreement with the state, the popular flu and cold medication will be manufactured in Wilson County by the end of the decade.

The U.S. subsidiary of British consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser Group is planning a $145.6 million factory that could bring 289 jobs to Wilson, state officials said. It's the latest company to bring drugmaking production to the counties outside the Triangle's core.

The North Carolina Department of Commerce's Economic Investment Committee voted during a meeting today to approve incentives for "Project Titan," an investment from an LLC tied to health, hygiene and nutrition product manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser Group, which makes brands like Mucinex and Lysol.
