The combination of cool temperatures and showery weather has meant Willamette Valley snow is possible at lower elevations throughout this week.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 2:37 p.m. valid from 10 p.m. until Saturday noon for West Hills and Chehalem Mountains, Outer Southeast Portland Metro and West Columbia River Gorge I-84 Corridor.

Some small school districts have canceled classes Wednesday. Many districts have announced two- or three-hour delays.
