Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo single-handedly outproduced the Yankees on Saturday, combining for nine RBIs and tying a Mets record in the process.

Unsurprisingly, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is headed to the All-Star Game for the fifth time in seven years. Although Alonso is familiar with the All-Star process, this year’s trip to Atlanta will be slightly different. Alonso confirmed that he turned down an opportunity to participate in his sixth Home Run Derby.
