Sabih Khan, an Indian-origin techie, has been appointed as Apple’s new chief operating officer (COO). The Moradabad-born executive has been part of the tech giant for nearly 30 years, and will succeed Jeff Williams.

Sabih Khan, a 30-year veteran at Apple, currently serves as senior vice president of operations and will assume his new role later this month.

Apple has announced that India-born Sabih Khan will take over as Chief Operating Officer later this month, succeeding longtime executive Jeff Williams, reported The Indian Express. Khan, currently Senior Vice President of Operations, joined Apple in 1995 and has since led its global operations, manufacturing, and environmental initiatives.
