A female student has died and another student was wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning at Antioch High School in Nashville, a police spokesman said. The female student was killed when a 17-year-old student armed with a pistol fired multiple shots in a school cafeteria at 11:09 a.

Police say a shooting at a Nashville high school has left one student dead and another woulded. Metro Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron said during a news conference that the 17-year-old gunman later shot and killed himself with a handgun.

Police said the suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the school district said Antioch High School is on lockdown.
