Washington Nationals interim general manager Mike DeBartolo and interim manager Miguel Cairo are ready to try to turn around an organization that's had the second-worst record in the majors since 2020.

A day after a major organizational shakeup, the Nationals named Miguel Cairo as the interim manager on Monday. Cairo will replace Dave Martinez, who was fired on Sunday along with general manager Mike Rizzo.
