Prime Video's newest winter wedding rom com 'You're Cordially Invited' has a stacked cast led by Reese Witherspoon, Will Ferrell and more.

There is a wildcard at every wedding, but in the case of "You're Cordially Invited," there are two. And they are played by Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon. Now streaming on Prime, the film directed by Nicholas Stoller centers on two families who unknowingly double book their weddings at the same small inn — an inn that can really only accommodate one wedding.

Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are ready to play, and “You’re Cordially Invited” has its moments, which is enough, probably, for home viewers in a five-or-six-laughs-will-do frame of mind. The comedy, written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, premieres Jan. 30 directly to Prime Video.

Stoller’s previous credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Get Him to the Greek (2010) and the underrated Bad Neighbours (2014); his dialogue and instinct for familial malice are both razor-sharp. Witherspoon, in particular, delivers his zingers with the unerring aim of a screwball comedy heroine.

“You’re Cordially Invited” comes out on Thursday, January 30. The movie will be streaming on Prime Video beginning at 3:00 a.m. ET on the 30th.
