Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano says victory over Torino last night was credit to their team spirit. Dan Ndoye struck twice as Bologna won 3-2, with the winner coming from an injury-time own goal.
Vincenzo Italiano had this to say about tonight’s victory: ‘We had a few minutes of blackout similar to the one against Verona, which ended up complicating a game that we were controlling very well, but the reaction after Torino’s 2-1 goal was that of a real team, never disunited, with a great attitude. We never gave up and we were rewarded.’
Bologna have formally extended their contract with technical director Giovanni Sartori to 2027, despite links with Milan, Roma, Napoli and more. The 67-year-old is widely considered to be the architect of their recent success, including qualification for the Champions League and current progress to the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
