The Dorena-Hickman Ferry closed on Thursday, January 30. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the closure is because of low water levels on the Mississippi River. It is not clear when the ferry will resume service.
The strangely shaped ice slabs spotted along the river aren’t a new weather pattern. They’ve have been spotted on oceans, lakes and rivers around the world.
OKAY, WAVERLE, THANK YOU FOR THAT UPDATE. WELL, FROZEN ICE IS PILING UP ON THE MISSOURI RIVER, JAMMING UP SOME UNITS AT OPD’S NORTH OMAHA POWER STATION. IT’S THE PERFECT STORM TO TEST.
