The date has been set for a special election to fill the Kentucky Senate District 37 seat. The position was recently vacated by David Yates, who was named interim Jefferson County Clerk following the death of longtime Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw.

According to a post made on X, a special election to fill the seat for District 37 will take place Dec. 16. Per a writ of election just received from the Governor, a special election for Kentucky Senate, District 37, will be held on December 16, 2025.
