The field for the 2025 Indianapolis 500 will be led to the green flag by rookie Robert Shwartzman. The former reserve driver in Formula 1 stunned in qualifying last week to become the rare rookie to land the pole position.
Christian Rasmussen led 1 lap in his first Indianapolis 500 and hopes for many more in his second season with Ed Carpenter Racing. Rasmussen qualified 20th for the May 25 race with a qualifying speed of 231.348 mph over four laps on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.
