As per a document circulating on social media, the "America Party (AMEP)" had registered with the FEC on July 6 under Filing FEC-1898441 and FEC Committee ID-C00910323. The filing mentioned the candidate's name as Elon Reeve Musk and Vaibhav Taneja, Tesla's chief financial officer, as AMEP's treasurer and custodian of records.
