The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Thursday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie was trading 0.1% higher at C$1.4407 to the greenback, or 69.41 U.S.
The euro stayed weaker against the dollar, showing little reaction after the ECB cut interest rates by a widely-expected 25bps.
