A LaPorte man serving a 44-year prison term for repeatedly molesting a young girl received a fair trial, according to a new ruling by the Indiana Court of Appeals.

Jada Monroe, 30, pleaded guilty to murder and robbery for stabbing Derek Hartz, 35, of Hobart, with a knife and fatally striking him with a brick.
