The Event Viewer logs entries during every event. It also logs the start and stop times of the event log service (Windows), giving the correct date, time, and user details of every shutdown process.

I am sure by this time you have already noticed that some of the services have additional conditions along with the startup type — Trigger Start. It can be for both Manual or Automatic Startup Type.
