The Baltimore Orioles opened the door for Jacob Amaya to return to the Chicago White Sox by designating the shortstop for assignment and placing him on waivers.
The White Sox announced Monday that they’ve (re)claimed infielder Jacob Amaya off waivers from the Orioles. Chicago designated outfielder Zach DeLoach for assignment in a corresponding move.
On the flip side, Zach DeLoach, also 26, exits the White Sox 40-man roster after batting .209 with a modest contribution of one homer, five doubles, and five RBIs over 22 games in 2024.
