Interim Executive Director of the Kennedy Center, Ric Grenell, said the "Golden Age of The Arts" is heading to Washington, D.C., under his and President Trump's leadership.

Trump said the cultural center's leaders did not share his values and criticized decisions to feature what he called "Drag Shows."

President Donald Trump ended the third week of his second term by firing the board of the Kennedy Center. He has since named himself chairman, thereby terminating the artistic independence of a venerated cultural institution after 54 years.
