Arkansas Supreme Court orders marijuana amendment votes not to be counted
The Arkansas Supreme Court ordered votes for the medical marijuana amendment not be counted Monday, ending the attempt to expand access to cannabis in Arkansas in 2024. In a 4-3 decision, the Supreme Court's majority concluded ballot language for the proposed constitutional amendment is misleading to voters and that Secretary of State John Thurston "be enjoined from canvassing or certifying any ballots cast for the proposed amendment.
