Milwaukee's current city flag reflects its history and is clearly this city on a lake, its supporters say. The People's Flag depicting the sun rising over Lake Michigan is simple, meaningful and already widely used, say others. And still others think the People's Flag with City Hall smack in the middle gives the new design a sense of place.
