The South Washington County Schools districth has banned a police officer from working as a substitute teacher after what it describes as a series of “racially harmful” actions.

A Minnesota high school is investigating reports that a substitute English teacher reenacted the murder of George Floyd, restraining a student during class, an email sent to parents and shared with The New York Times said.

The substitute teacher who used a Woodbury student to replicate the police killing of George Floyd has been identified as a Wisconsin police officer who has since been placed on leave. Steven Dwight Williams,

"The reported actions are not, and will not, be tolerated at Woodbury High School or in South Washington County Schools," Wagner said.
