MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins’ search for a quality backup quarterback will no longer include Skylar Thompson. Thompson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, his agency announced Tuesday.

The Miami Dolphins will have to look elsewhere for a backup quarterback. Skylar Thompson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, effectively ending his three-year career in Miami.

The NFL career of former Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson will continue in Pittsburgh. Thompson was signed to a futures contract with the Steelers, the team and his agency announced Tuesday.
