The idea of a splash screen is to keep the user occupied while the application loads. Developing splash screens for Java applications is harder than it needs to be, until now.

Drawing inspiration from its smart TV app, YouTube for Android introduced a splash screen animation back in September 2023. One year later, the YouTube Music app is now following suit.

The quick loading screen animation went live for YouTube’s TV app in November last year, and it has now started appearing for some users on their favorite Android smartphones.
