Tesla's fourth-quarter and full-year earnings day is here — a highly anticipated report that is expected to be released after market close Wednesday.

With Tesla set to release its latest quarterly earnings report, Wall Street thinks the stock can keep rising on a "golden age" for automation and AI.

Tesla's earnings call is today at 5:30 pm ET. TSLA stock heads into the report down 1.4% YTD. Analysts are focused on self-driving and robotaxis.

While the initial testing will use Tesla's own fleet of cars, regular customers may be able to add their cars to the ride-hailing fleet next year, Musk says.

Tesla will launch an “unsupervised, no one in the car” robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, in June, Elon Musk said in an earnings call Wednesday. “We just want to put a toe in the water, make sure everything’s okay, put a few more toes in the water, with safety of the general public and those in the car as a top priority,” Musk said.

Elon Musk said Tesla will begin launching unsupervised self-driving models in Austin, Texas by June and several other U.S. cities by the end of 2025.

Tesla shares bumped higher in early Thursday trading following a disappointing fourth quarter earnings update that was somewhat offset by a bullish outlook from CEO Elon Musk, triggering a host of price target changes from analysts on Wall Street.

The final earnings release of 2024 finalized another difficult year for Tesla’s bottom line, as its full-year net income came in at $8.4 billion, a 23% decrease from 2023 and a 40% decline from 2022’s record $14.1 billion profit, though its full-year revenue rose $97.7 billion, a 1% improvement from 2023’s record.
