Captain Ben Stokes opts to skip next year's Indian Premier League, but former England bowler James Anderson and Jofra Archer register for the upcoming auction.

Under new rules announced by the IPL last month, it also means that Stokes will not be eligible to play in the 2026 competition

Stokes's reported decision to skip the IPL 2025 mega-auction is also due to his focus on the World Test Championship. His last T20 appearance was in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. Although he retired from One Day Internationals (ODIs) once,
