China vowed 'corresponding countermeasures' to Trump’s 10% levy on Chinese products, without immediately announcing any new tariffs.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced last night Canada will retaliate after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed 25 per cent tariffs against Canadian goods would go into effect Tuesday.

Trump has hit back at critics and argued the tariffs are necessary because of “major” trade deficits with impacted countries.
