The Chicago Bears have ensured that left guard Joe Thuney will be a part of the future and not an expensive one-year rental.

Thuney hasn't even seen the field for Chicago yet, but general manager Ryan Poles made sure to lock him down through 2027 to retain stability along the offensive line for quarterback Caleb Williams. While Thuney will turn 33 this season, he's still regarded as one of the best players in the NFL.

Joe Thuney's new team is handing him a new deal. Thuney and the Bears have agreed to a two-year, $35 million extension, keeping the guard in Chicago through 2027, per NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
