According to the federal court records, since 2018, Arica Hutchison was one of two officers assigned to sort through Crime Stoppers tips and then give that information to the investigators. That investigator documents the usefulness of that tip in a database, which Hutchison had access to.

In addition to six months behind bars, Hutchinson will have to spend two years on probation once she's released, as well as pay back the money that was taken from the Crimestoppers program.

New details have emerged about a now-former Memphis Police officer serving time in federal prison for stealing thousands of dollars in Crime Stoppers reward money. While MPD has not commented, they did fulfill WREG Investigators’ open records request Friday and provided Arica Hutchison’s photo and employment records.
