After the Golden State Warriors swung a blockbuster midseason trade for frustrated six-time All-Star Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, they rocketed into fringe contender status, going 23-8 to close out the regular season and finishing the year with a 48-34 record and the Western Conference's No. 7 seed.

Things didn't go their way from a luck standpoint, as superstar guard Stephen Curry suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1. While the core group of Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green are all signed through until the end of the 2026-27 season, there's one key piece who isn't: Steve Kerr.

Steph Curry still remains one of the best five guards in the NBA at 37. He is coming off a year where he averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field and 39.

The Jimmy Butler acquisition helped the Warriors become a contender again, though injuries cut their run short. They'll need to make more moves this offseason to have a chance to win another ring.

Steph Curry added another accolade to his already decorated basketball resume. For the 11th time in his career, Curry earned an All-NBA Team selection. The Golden State Warriors point guard was named to the All-NBA second team for the 2024-25 season.
