On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming U.S. independence from Britain.

While demonstrations from Washington to Los Angeles were largely festive, with food trucks and live music, protesters were determined to speak for their cause.

Shiloh is celebrating Independence Day all weekend long with activities filled with both rich history and of course, cannon firings. Sunday, Shiloh is concluding its “Booming for Independence” program. The park has been busy all weekend long with visitors checking out the multiple cannon firings.
